I have a question about the armed service

is it possible to join the army online or do you have to go to a recruiting office? i dont have any desire too at the moment but i was just curious.

  1. Yeah you have to go to a recruiting office and talk to a recruiter. It's really stupid because all they do is try to pressure you into enlisting right then and there and ask you dumb questions about what you want in life and how the service can give you those things. It's really corny.

    You can go online and request information from the service's website and they will send you like brochures and stuff to check out, but to actually join you have to go in and sign up and all that.  


  2. The on-line portion is referred to as  "bird-dogging"  you complete the info and a local recruiter calls you to set up an appointment.  No this is something you do have to do face to face - in person.

    I have seen people re-enlist over a Video conferencing system though...
