I understand how to play it perfectly... I usually always win. But I was always curious... What is the point of putting each weapon in different rooms? I never did get the point of that...

  1. The answer is "wrench".

    No, I'm kidding ... but my son, when he was young, would always yell "wrench", no matter what!

    The weapons themselves are just props.  There's no reason whatsoever to place them all in different rooms.  If you put them all in the same room, or even if you didn't use them at all, it wouldn't change the outcome.

    The game Clue is really just a mathematical logic problem ... you figure out the answer by process of elimination.

    You eventually arrive at what IS by eliminating what ISN'T ... the game-pieces are just place-keepers, and the "weapons" are just representations of mathematical variables ... but they serve no real purpose.

    You could graph the whole thing out on paper, based solely on the card-draw ... and you would arrive at the correct answer.  But it wouldn't be nearly as much FUN!

  2. some people are more visual and have to be able to see where everything is. Others, like you, don't need to.

  3. Because while your waiting for the other people to go you play with them, jk, so it's easier to figure out the murder, get all the "clues" and win the game

  4. Of course you win with or without them;

    they are just there for the visual effect.  They actually help me keep track of my own thoughts while playing, oddly enough.

    But it's just a visual, and it helps people to remember what the weapons are, just like the board helps people know where the rooms are and the pieces show where you are;

    The weapons are necessary for the Look of the game.  They are the Finishing touch to the game!
