I have a question about the digital camera memory chip?

Ok, I think I know tha answer to this question but I juz wana make sure. If my memory chip from my camera is full and I was to go to Walgreens for instance....print out all tha pics and then get em' transfered to a cd I no longer need tha pics on my memory chip do I? I can juz erase em' and reuse my chip....rite???

  1. Yes you can always use the memory card or chip after erasing that data and thats what they are meant for. you can format the whole chip or delete the selected data from it.

    Additionally, they arent erased, they are just de-allocated from the file system tree and you can recover them if you need to.....like if you accidentally delete them or the memory card becomes corrupt.


  3. Yes, once you have them transferred to a cd check the cd to make sure they're there then erase all from the card.

  5. Usually a good memory card/chip can be used more than a thousand times. Just remember to format instead of just deleting. Deleting doesn't really erased it completely, and one day, you'll see the card will say full even after you have deleted all the pictures, and deleted every time. FORMAT - check your manual for it or go through the menu mode.

    If you have a computer, you can download all the images to your computer rather than have it on cd from Walgreens (save yourself $10 at least), and have it copy on a cd disk yourself if you know how, or asked someone.
