My allergies have been really bad the past couple of days and so today my dad went to the doctor and got a prescription for flonase. In the spring I had horrible allergies and I took sudafed, clairtian and flonase. I stopped taking it but I was wondering if since I took flonase before and it worked wonders if it will work again, and if It will take less time to work since I have taken it before. I am 15 btw

  1. It should work the same way that it did before unless you used it too often. In that case you may not get the same relief as before. If you haven't used it in a while it should work fine but it will take the same amount of time to work if you take the same amount as you did before.

  2. It would probably be a good idea to go to the doctor to get a Flonase again if it has helped you in the past. My allergist always recommends taking an allergy medication like Claritin or Zyrtec with a nasal allergy medication for the best allergy relief. You could also try taking Zyrtec instead of Claritin to see if it is more helpful. You could also try taking Claritin-D or Zyrtec-D to see if they give the the decongestant that you need so you don't have to take the sudafed also. I take Zyrtec and Nasonex and they help my allergies a lot.
