does ths hadle get slipery when wet? and does it get worn easily?

With those grooves it has you will not lose your grip..I wrapped two portions of my handle with "550" chord on the groves..This gave me better grip but if done incorrectly it will bother your grip.

And the KBARS we were issued were very old, maybe 20 years old..Those knives and sheaths last a very long time and endure alot of damage but as long as you take care of your weapon it will take care of you..

You attach it through the belt loop on the sheath..Use one of the straps it has on the backpack and just make it work..ONce you have the belt loop attached you can use black tape or 550 choird to fasten the bottom piece to your gear..Just figure it out..

I know a upside down KBAR looks cool but remember this..When someting gets snagged on the holder and it pops it open you will not be aware as your KBAR falls to the ground..I never wore mine upside down..I wore mine in my right front pocket as it was attached to my belt..This ensured that I NEVER was without my KBAR, even when sleeping I had it on my at the ready.
