I have a question about transfering video from my camcorder to my computer and or to a regular dvd...?

I have a DCR-DVD92 handycam by sony....for a project i video taped some things....since the mini cd tht fits into to the camcorder will not be read when i put it in my computer i dont noe what to do....i was wondering how to transfer the data from the camcorder to my computer...or possibly transfering it into a regular dvd..

  1. Clarification: It is not a miniCD, it is a miniDVD. If your computer's optical drive does not specify it can read DVDs, then it will not read that disc. Also, we don't know what type of disc it is - and some of them need to be "finalized".

    If your computer's optical does read DVDs, then you will need to use ISOBuster, then rip the DVD with a ripper like HandBrake

    If your computer's optical drive is CD only, then you will need the AV cable that came with the camcorder - and you will need to get an "Analog/Digital Bridge" like

    Warning: The video captured by DVD based camcorders is terrible - especially for editing.
