  1. Gina I do not believe in inoculation amongst children and I built my children's immune system when it comes to immunization records if it is school related then they should have a form you Can feel out that states that if it is not then I always wrote a letter and some places have asked that I have it notarized the form for school is to state that you do not have your child immunized

  2. If your child had any reaction to previous shots that causes you worry and stress , your doctor (if he /she is any good at all) will write a doctors excuse stating your child cannot have it.

  3. The TB test is not a vaccination.  It is a test to see if a person has tuberculosis.

Info on the test is here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mantoux_tes...

  4. The TB test isn't a vaccianation per se. It's just a shot and they circle (some places) the injection site, then you go back in a day or two and they check to see how it looks.

My nephews aren't vaccianted, but had to have a TB test to enter school, for the other stuff they have waivers.

  5. "The Heaf test is used by 95% of school districts. It is done by puncturing the skin with 6 tiny needles that inject a trace amount of TB infection into the body with the purpose of seeing whether the person has a reaction. If the person doesn't have a reaction, the result is negative and they will be given TB vaccine.

The test, however, is not known for it's efficacy. The American Academy of Pediatrics tells its members that the test could give false negative and false positive results. The Lancet reported that a lot of medical professionals aren't even sure what a positive test means. It could mean that someone is immune to TB, or it could mean that they are simply allergic to the test."

You can opt out (which I will be doing) with a general waiver.

  6. Why would you want to get around it?  Its NOT a vaccine, its a test to see if they have tuberculosis!
