  1. 2 to 8 miles depending on your level of skill.

  2. It depends on what event you run and also it sepends on the coach. Usually its not more than about 3 miles.(off and on)

  3. well, if your talking sprinters, you will typically only do 200s, 400s, 600s, and short distances.  this doesnt mean they are easy, just fast.

what my coach does for us distance people is usually 3 or 4 days we do red line(balls to the wall) training, as in 5 800s, 8 400s, mile repeats, and once in a while 200s,  or combinations of these.  the other day or two we will do a easy, slow jog(usually about 2-4 miles) then stride out some 400s or 800s.

  4. I am a distance runner but we run probably 35 to 50 miles a week.  I depends on the season.  during track season we will barely reach 35 miles because we work more on speed.

  5. Well,it depends if you like running the long distances at meets or the sprints. If you are in Middle school and are doing hte sprints are coachs had us run about 2 laps for the warm up and then we would practice our relays or run about 300m a few times and maybe a couple more laps.If you are doing the distance running like me you would run about 3 or 4miles per practice maybe.

If you are in high school track and your a sprinter you would probably run about 2 or 3miles a practice all together.Long distace you would probably run about 5 or 6 miles per practice.
