  1. Erm i'm not sure but i should go with what the vet said or if you are not sure go to another vet to get there opinion

    good luck xx

  2. it could be a form of mastitis known as necrotic mastitis where the skin breaks open and dies back (my queen had this while she was pregnant with her six kittens last year, we very nearly lost her) most vets think it is a breast cancer but it is a hormonal condition which needs to be treated with antibiotics and an emergency spay (our vets did this as soon as the kittens were born) but blood tests are needed to rule out all other possibilities as well as xrays. she is in pain and should be on pain meds as well as antibiotics.

  3. I wouldn't take any chances.  When she yelled, was it a different yell than you have heard from her before?  A painful kind of yell?  Also, the vet can't always feel the lumps.  Did he take a blood test to see her blood counts?  My cat had a tumor and no vet knew it until it ruptured and was bleeding internally.  I would recommend getting a second opinion.  Cats are very good at hiding their sicknesses - you may not be able to tell if she is really sick just by how she acts.   Good luck - I wish you the best.
