Ok my periods are irregular ok and then i am going to get on the depo(birth control shot) i only want to be on it for 2 years so it can regulate my periods !

After that how long will it take to get out of my system? Will the shot regulate my periods and then when i get off of it they will keep being regular?

P.S. I would like to try for kids in 2 1/2 years

  1. I would go on a different type of BC to regulate periods, like the pill maybe.  Depo shot can take a long time to get out of your system, it can also s***w up period more - I was on the shot for two years, at first I had a light period for a while, but for most of the two years I had no period at all.

  2. It can take up to a year to resume a normal cycle. Your periods will return to what is natural for you, unaffected by the shot. If you are a teenager you may have irregular periods now and would have normal period with or without the shot as you mature more.

  3. i do not reccomend u take the depo provera shot it can make you gain weight and some women have little to no periods on it so it may not regulate your period. i reccomend you try YAZ. thats wat  i am on and i love it.

    good luck.
