I have a question on waiting for Ebay Payment?

This past week, I began selling on Ebay & have done very good so far. Well all my listings ends up selling & each buyer pays promptly. Well I have this one buyer that keeps giving me the run around as to why she can't pay. Ok the first time she said emails me to send her another invoice so she can pay ( this was day 2), then day 3 she emails that something is wrong with my paypal acct. I emailed her back & told that my Paypal acct was working fine & she should try it again. Day 5 she emails me & tells me that she forgot she got a new paypal account & has to get verified before she can pay. She said that this is gonna take her another 2-3 days before she can pay. I think she is giving me the run around. It has been 5 days already. Her last feedback said she did not pay the last seller. Well Now (LOOK OUT) I am a little huffy about it, because she got into a huge bidding war with 6 other buyers for each item. Now, I may have lost a sale completely. My question is, should I trust her & give her more time to pay? How much time? or should I just put the items back on Ebay. I had many interested bidders? What is the ethical thing to do? I wanna give her the benefit of doubt, but I dont wanna get burnt.

  1. as a fellow ebayer, i suggest that you give her to day 7 and if she dont send payment, report her and i always give the next highest bidder the option of buying item at there highest bid.  thats just what i would do, but ultimately the choice is yours.  i would report her no matter what after 7 days of no pay.  no matter what.  if she does pay make sure its noted in feedback with neutral feedback.

  2. Forget her, send the person with the next highest bid and email for a second chance offer.Hopefully they still want it and will buy it.If they dont go to the next highset bidder and do the same.Good luck.

  3. Like "Glad There Gone"  said, give her the 7 days to pay then file a dispute for non-payment. You have to decide what to do after that, based on her response or non-response. Unfortunately, since the feedback changes in May, Sellers are no longer able to leave Buyers negative or neutral feedback, even for non-payment. Additionally, the number of non-paying bidders has increased since that time as well.  So, basically what it comes down to is either she pays by day 7 or you offer to the next highest bidder. Regardless, I would make sure you file the dispute so that she receives a non-payment strike.
