hey guys i am soon starting a career for acting, but i dont want 2 use my real name...i want to use a name that ive been called for almost 7 yrs now, i want use my nickname then my real name & then my last, to do that do i need to pay??

what process do i gotta go throu??

  1. I'm not sure.  Since you're still using your real name, you may not have to do anything.  Anyhow, I just wanted to wish you...no! never say that!  Let me just say "Break a leg!"


  2. There can be a lot of legal ramifications involved in changing one's name.  Check this site for how to do it:

  3. Get in touch with a lawyer to find out exactly what the law says and what you need to do to get the situation addressed.

    Take it seriously because the confusion and the question of legality may cause you a lot of trouble down the road if it is not handled from the legal point of view..  

  4. You can use any name that you wish. If you do so to defraud it becomes a legal issue. Also there are some union rules for actors that you may be interested in.

  5. You don't have to change your name for that. When you are acting, tell them how you want your name listed in the playbill or the credits.
