  1. lol why is everyone like getting racist?

I doubt it,South Africa 2 me is still doing well in ways and also I doubt other countries will let South Africa fall 2 such a low standard + we dont have a dictator as a president.

so yeah we do get insulted =]

  2. No I am not. I think there are more differences between Zim and SA than similarities. Some people choose to look only at the similarities and immediately ‘paint the devil on the wall’ South Africa is going through change and suffering with growing pains…. and most certainly has stumbled a few steps back…..but it will recover, stand up and move forward again.

  3. Well i have to admit i have never been told that. But i am shure that we do have the potential to be the next Zimbabwe, just as long as the ANC stays in power we are in the ****.

  4. No I am not because it won't be like Zimbabwe it will be WORLD WAR THREE instead. The whites just won't leave so they will turn to war and the blacks will fight for our self defence.

  5. well the fact that the blacks did not win power after a long bloody war in South Africa means it can't be

  6. Yes I am. We wont go that way.

  7. No, why should South Africa be any different to the rest of Africa. To Ethel's comment: that's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard, the killing is already the other way round and there are so many blacks that there would not be much of a war anyway.

  8. Of course it will be similar to the next Zimbabwe and you only have to look at the entire Continent to see why. Africans cannot run anything successfully even when they are handed a golden egg.Their entire history is destruction no matter where they live so South Africa will wander down that road and the multi National conglomerates will protect their interests whilst the poulation starve and die of disease.

  9. It would depend on what your reasons are for such a statement. If it is said in the context that we are in Africa and led by Africans – then I’ll take offence. But if it’s said in the context that the ruling elite is drifting away from the people; that the current policies do not bring the anticipated changes; that some sectors of the community feel to be left out because of race and class – then no offence will be taken.

  10. Sometimes the truth hurts!  But I dont think we will ever get that bad.

  11. yes mina im insulted coz i totally disagree

  12. We estimated, in 1994, that SA would take about 50 years to become like Zimbabwe was then, but the corrupt ANC and their brainless followers have broken it in just 12 years.

Is there nothing that is houtie proof?

  13. Yes, I am. It saddens me that people talk about it so resignedly as if it is inevitable, as if they have given up all hope. I think that there is still hope for us.

  14. No I'm not.  In fact I agree with that statement.  What insults me thought is the fact that black people who were raised with less and who had less chances know how to stand together but us whites, oh no, we try and be better than the nextdoor neighbour.  If the white people all over the country can just stick together we will make a difference.......

  15. No, why should we be. The potential is there, we must just ensure that it does not happen.

I would be insulted if someone says that we have the potential to be the next USA. At least Zim is killing only their own people and not everyone who has oil or other resources and who does not agree with their policies.

  16. I don't think we will go that way. For one thing, we have the most liberal constitution in the world, watched over by a zealous Constitutional Court, so we are unlikely to get an eternal hanger-on as President as happened in Zimbabwe and elsewhere. Another thing, we don't have the "two tribes" situation like in Zimbabwe - we have a very heterogenous population - as they say, if you have three South Africans in a room, they will start four political parties! I think that is why we avoided bloodshed in the first place.  However, I think South Africans should move away from this perception that "government must take care of us" like we did during the apartheid regime, where we were told what we must think, speak and feel.   We also have civic duties and responsibilities, not only paying tax, but also treating your fellow countrymen and women with respect. This is what disturbs me in this forum - respect is a 2-way street..you have to show respect before you can receive it. It is, in the end, up to us.

  17. It is not an Insults but stupidity. South Africans can die for South Africa, meaning no one will like that to happen. For example, South Africans are changing the president everytime and they are making that president seat the hottest ever. And now, the country is building itself from both active races (tax payers), it is not dependent on one side. And by the way, South Africans are strategic than your neighbour Robert.
