Hi, I'm from North Carolina, and my aunt is the parent of a disabled child. I was wondering if there was any type of health insurance that's available for that? She is unemployed and taking care of her daughter full time. She doesn't qualify for Medicaid or Medicare, but doesn't have enough money to go to the doctor.

Thanks you guys :c)

  1. There may be some additional State programs besides Medicare or Medicaid that will meet their needs.

One option may be the North Carolina State Children's Health Insurance Program (S CHIP).

Either way be sure and shop around and then speak with a NC independent health insurance agent.

Here is some more information specifically on finding health insurance in NC:

  6. She does not need an insurance agent. She needs to contact North Caroline Social Services to determine what state programs are available to help her and her child.
