I have a question regarding setting up a network with my xbox 360 and computer.?

Question

Im using a network hub to connect the two,but when i get both of them connected a message comes up on my computer saying limited or no connectivity.And either my internet on my computer will work and my xbox live wont,or vice versa.How do u fix this problem?I've tried pretty much everything.Please some help would be much appreciated.
