What is the difference between a poly-u varnish and a polymer varnish??

  1. I'm not familiar with "poly-u" finishes (is that perhaps a *brand* name?), but "polymer" finishes can be basically any acrylic type finish that wants to call itself a "polymer" (but they all are), or it could be a liquid finish that's okay to use on polymer clay.  Those would be polyurethanes (water-based), and other acrylics like some floor polishes and "acrylic mediums" and acyrlic fingernail polishes,  though other things can be used on cured polymer clay too (polyester or epoxy resins, clear embossing powders, thinned permanent white glues, etc.)
