How do u "close ur throat"? I need to know how to close my throat to pronounce the French guttural R.

  1. The French R is from the throat.  You do not roll it like you do in Spanish.

    Basically, the sound is like.....  errrmmm...

    okay.

    try this.

    Gargle.  But without the liquid.

    And voila! you have the french R.
