I have a questioon for those who know about Auto Insurance

I am on my parents insurance plan, we were sent 3 separate letters basically wanting a credit report from us. My pattens have good credit and they are the policy holder, and have been with this insurance company for a very long time, why would they want one on me, I'm only 16 with no credit history. I have asked my parents but they say don't worry about it, thanks to all who can help
