  1. I asked my doctor this question at her four month check-up.  He was all for putting her in the water at the beach.  He just told me to make sure that I applied sunscreen on her (not forgetting her ears and face -- just a little on the face) and a hat.  My doctor also okayed brigning her to a pool, he told me just to make sure the pool doesn't have too many chemicals in it.  I tried both and she didn't like it at all, she cried as soon as I put her little feet in the water.

  2. yes but be care about the sun, no direct sunlight. and use sunscreen

  3. yes he will be fine

  4. Yes it's fine, I did it with my baby, just make sure he doesnt get it in his mouth.

  5. I think that it's fine to put your baby's feet in! I took my daughter and my son to the beach when they were 6 months old and let them put their feet in and they loved it! Of course, wash them when you are through...some babies like to chew on their feet!

  6. Absolutely!  Just make sure to keep the water out of his eyes.

  7. Yep, it's fine :)

I was a beach baby. Just watch out for jelly fish and other things that could make for an unpleasant experience.

edit: don't forget to watch out and make sure he doesn't rub his eyes or get water in there. salt water can sting!

  8. Go ahead. Just make sure the water is clean, because I've heard of children getting alot of infections lately from nasty public water, even if it's at the beach. Just steer clear of other children.

  9. As long as you remember the sunscreen and don't take him too far then why not.

  10. Heck ya, get them a baithing suit and walk right in with them.  Just remember sunscreen and a hat

  11. It's fine!  My daughter loved the water at a young age, and as long as the tide isn't too high, you should have no worries.

  12. Yes, it's perfectly fine.  Just make sure he's protected with sunscreen, or protective clothing (hat, glasses, etc.).  Also, you do not want to put his head under water.  He could get water in his ears/nose and you do not want that.

  13. everyone keeps suggesting sunscreen but it is suggested that it's not used on babies under 6 months.  I'm sure it's fine but my ped also told me no sunscreen.  Just be careful not to keep in in too long.  Babies can burn very quickly!

  14. yeah, it'll be fine. I'm sure you know all the necessary precautions to take as well so I won't waste my time listing them...have fun!

  15. Of course.

Lather him up in sunscreen, plop a hat on him and put him in the water!

  16. I would be more concerned about sun exposure or overheating.  Yea, he can get his feet wet, just be sure not to spend all day in the hot sun.
