u can hook it up to the acc switches on your boat or just put it to hot all the time but either disconnect it or turn radio off because batt will drain down

You connect the radios 12V+ and ACC wire to the battery+.  The only problem is that the radio will always in on, so buy a SPST automotive toggle switch and connect it in series with the ACC wire and 12V+.  Now you can turn the radio on and off with the switch.

hook your acc wire up to your key switch. so when you turn your key to the on position it will come on and shut-off with the key switch. Or if you have extra rocker switches on the dash you could also hook it into one of those.
