  1. It COULD be. Check out Ebay, & see what similar $1. Bill's are going for- there... It might be worth Auctioning off ! Good Luck !  :)

  2. silver certificates are indeed worth more than face value. but no one can really give you a quote based on your info about it. 1935 and 1957 are the most common of all the $1 silver certificates out there today.  the most determining factor of value in collectibles, as is in anything, is condition. also the series number has alot to do with finding out the value of it. if it is in mint condition and looks like it was fresh off the printing press yesterday you can get a pretty penny for it. even tho its one of the two most common out there. but if its heavily worn, like if its been folded or ripped or been thru the washing machine it probably wont get ya more than $20 bucks at best. unless ya find a sucker out there. if its in decent shape you might want to send it in to get graded. the best grading service for paper money in my opinion and alot of others opinions is Paper Money Guaranty company. it'll run you around $50 bucks or so but if its in great shape its definitely worth it. graded money always sells for the highest price. even if its not in good condition. but for your particular dollar if its not in great shape it wouldn't be worth it.  i'd say your best bet is to put it on EBay and hope to get a nice bid on it. but like i said, if its not in great shape dont expect alot. hope that helped ya out!!

  3. The series 1957 $1 silver certificate is far from rare or even scarce. The date on a note is not when it was printed but authorized. Your note may have been printed up to 1963. It sells of $3 in grade very fine and $4 in extra fine. Even in crisp uncirculated it sells for around $10. Dealers pay at least 40% less. It is worth holding onto for in the future it's value will go up.

  4. I used to have a few years ago. It depended on the series numbers. Speak to a local coin shop. One place that can tell you - but I don't know if they can do it online - is Maryland Stamp and Coin in Bethesda, MD. You could see if they are online, or call them, and ask. Good luck you'll find your answer.

EDIT: Here call em'. See if they can tell you: 1-800-426-5723
