  1. First...you need to see an ophthalmologist or just your regular optometrist...now!!!

If it is "growing" over the iris as you say, it will impair your vision

Pus is usually the sign of infection, and/or possibly an allergic reaction.  When making the appointment, think of these questions/answers which may be useful to the doctor:

    1)  Do you know what event precipitated the problem with the eye

    2)  Have you ever had this happen before...to either eye...when and how often?

    3)  How long have you had it?

    4)  did anything you do make it feel better or worse.  Where was it initially located and how did it change

    5)  Is it painful?  What kind of pain?

    6)  Do you have allergies, are taking any medications, along with your medical history

    7)  Does it impair your vision?

At this point, an OTC medicine is just wishful thinking...once you mentioned it growing over the iris, that's a big red flag that calls for "immediate" attention by a physician.  Your eye can produce additional tissue, and if left untreated, this extra tissue may have to be surgically removed...so what does that mean?!?!?!  See the doctor now so you don't have to go through that.

  2. Sounds like a infection caused by dirt or even a grain of sand getting lodged on to your sclera. Please see a doctor.

  3. You can ask your local pharmacist for recommendations of what is available over the counter and hopefully there is something they have that would save you a trip to the doctor.

If sounds like Pink Eye which is contagious or you could have gotten something in your eye or accidentally scratched it and minor infection set in but you won't know for sure unless you have an eye exam from a doctor to be on the safe side.
