  1. You'll have to continue the following care for at least 6 weeks . First, take the kitten (and any other animals in the house) to a vet or groomer for a flea dip bath and a treatment of Advantage - you can use flea shampoo made for kittens, but a groomer or vet will do a more through job (plus he's getting dipped, which means all the little hiding areas are being treated, and they know how to clean kitten ears). You have to treat the house while the kitten is gone. Flea powder worked for me - but you have to follow all this up (minus the Advantage) every 10-14 days until the fleas are gone. You have to treat any areas the cat has been in, carpets-beds-pet beds-clothes-anything the flea eggs could be in. The eggs have a 10-14 gestational period, and fleas can lay eggs within minutes of hatching. It's going to be hard - but it can be done. Keep kitty in the house and you lessen your chances of re-infestation. Good luck.

  2. Your need to treat the house and the cats at the same time. And fogging only kills the fleas not the eggs. I use Adams, it comes in a spray bottle and can be bought in most pet stores, and will kill the eggs too.You will have to use it 3-4 times to be sure you get all the fleas and eggs. In conjunction  with advantage or frontline that should take care of it.

  3. flea bomb, or an exterminator.

  4. Try fogging with those little cans of flea/tick foggers.

  5. Go to your vet and get Advantage.  It works great and will kill the flees on your pet and in your home.  I've used it for years and never had a flee problem. You just put the solution on your pet once a month.  You can buy it one month at a time for pretty cheap.  I think I paid about 12 bucks for a one month bottle for a small dog.  All the other products are a waste of money!!

  6. Go to your Vet and purchase some Acclaim or the equivalent. It's a spray and you have to treat your whole house with it, but the preventive effect will last for about nine months. I had to do this when I moved into a house once before. It's a brilliant remedy for all small insect infestations. Even keeps spiders at bay...thank goodness.

    Good luck!

  7. Here is what I started doing in 1984 it sure helped.. this was pre front line era, and I had indoor cats and dogs then, this was my life savor I came up with it. If you want to read it and try it I will post it. GOOD LUCK.

HOW I GOT RID OF FLEAS FROM MY HOME!

You will need to purchase a simple bug/fly zapper; the type you use on a patio to kill flying insects.  You can buy a small one that will cover a large area of your house at most home improvement stores for as little as 15.00-20.00 dollars.  For faster results you can use one bug zapper for each room.  However the fleas do gravitate to the bug zapper’s light once night sets in and all the lights in your house are out. So one should work for a small home, just make sure to place it in the room where the most fleas are seen or felt.   Place the zapper on the floor in a corner behind a piece of furniture so kids and pets won’t play with or bother it. Set it on a plate or pie tin for easy cleaning up of the zapped bugs, you will be killing all bugs in your home as well, and then plug it in.  Remember, it is a piece of electrical equipment.  You have to use caution in where you put it. At night the fleas automatically want to go to a light, when they hop in to the bug zapper light they get fried! You can actually hear little, zits, zits when the fleas are getting zapped! All GONE! Keep the carpet vacuumed daily until your flea problem is under control, this will help tremendously in getting the fleas eggs out of your home and carpet faster!!  I am not responsible for misuse of the above item.  Use full caution in placing your bug zapper to the safest place.  It will work for months, even years; it will continue to kill bugs in your home as long as the light is on.  The bulb can be replaced once it burns out.  The light bulb can be purchased at most home improvement stores.

  8. Best and most helpful choice is definitely the flea bomb.

Select a bomb that contains the ingredient IGR, which prevents fleas from reaching reproductive age.

Purchase enough flea bombs to cover the entire house. Some bombs are designed to spread over a certain amount of square footage or through a certain number of rooms.

Tape shut all cabinets or remove dishes, pots and pans from inside the house. Properly seal any open food containers and throw out any opened food that cannot be properly sealed.

    Step4

Move as much furniture as possible onto non-carpeted surfaces. The bomb spray may not reach under beds or other low-hanging furniture which could leave those carpeted areas untreated.

Remove everyone, including any pets, from your home. You also should remove your pets' tanks, cages, beds and litter boxes.

Place the flea bomb upright in the middle of the area it is intended to cover. Spread newspapers under and around the bomb. Follow the instructions to set off the bomb, and then leave immediately.

Return home after the time listed in the instrtuctions has elapsed. Open the windows and turn on the fans. Leave for at least another hour. Return again and properly dispose of the spent bombs and newspapers.

Launder all bedding, towels and linens that were exposed to the flea bomb. Vacuum all carpeted and upholstered surfaces. Wipe down all other exposed surfaces, like counter tops and tables.

Wash any dishes, pots and pans that remained inside the house during the bombing. Dust any objects that you suspect may carry residue from the flea bomb.

  9. you can buy raid in a spray bottle and if you spray every corner and like under your furinture you can get rid of them also if you have a pet make sure you give them a flea bath and use either frontline or bio spot on your pet and that will keep the fleas from getting on your animal or in your home again .After you spray make sure you leave the house for 30 min to 1 hour good luck i know how it is .

  10. you need to buy a flea fogger that also kills fleas and flea eggs if you dont find one that does this you will be fighting fleas forever...I think Black Flag or one of those has the ones that kills flea eggs

  11. I Had The Same Situation A Couple Of Years Back && To Be Honest With You The Only Way That I Was Able To Get Rid Of Them Was By Shampooing Our Carpets.  EVERYWHERE And Underneath EVERYTHING!  Good Luck!

  12. use the fleas fogger it fumigate to cover the entire room.
