I have a really old sony hi8 camcorder which records onto tape,does anybody know how i can get that onto disc?

Basically,

I have a really old camcorder which records onto a small tape which fits inside, now I am wondering if there is a way to get the video of the tape onto disc?

Please help.

to get it onto disc get it to the pc first with cheap solutions found below

you can plug in your hi8 camcorder into a box which brings the signal into your pc for video editing and recording then once you have your video the way you want burn it to a dvd or CD etc.

Do you have a DVD recorder connected to your TV for recording TV programs? If so then you might be able to connect your camcorder to the DVD recorder and record you Hi8 to either the hard drive in the DVD recorder or directly to a DVD. This is what I have done with my Hi8 tapes.
