I have a really weird Running Style?

Well I recently learned that my running style is....well, flawed, in many ways. For starters, i run sort of like on top toe? My heels dont touch the ground when I run. Is my slowness a result of my weird running style? (i ran 50 yards in 9 sec, which is slow).

Any tips for me? I was thinking about joining track this year, and I know they will train you and have you work hard every day. Should I go for it and use all the time i have left to change my running style?

  1. I'd have to agree with 'running coach', everyone has their own style of running.  Mine is pretty strange itself.  But, that hasn't affected speed overall.  If your form bothers you that badly, make sure you experiment with changing it in the off-season.


  2. Don't worry about running style., because there is no "right" way.

    Don't believe when people say there is a right way in running, because there isn't/

    Everyone has their own unique running style, if you change it, it could cause an injury because your not use to that running style.

    So for now, run what feels most comfortable to you.

    Join the track team, if you have a running style that you could easily correct and will help you, your coach would know.
