There is always a bomb bouncing down a dusty road, or something else bomb related.

I've had 3 dreams like this in the past fortnight.

I always have something involving a bomb in my dream, and I was just wondering what it meant?

Also regularly included in my dreams is swimming.

Thanks!

  1. theres some denger in your life maybe your work  or someone you afried of. try to avoid dengirous places.

  2. Road

To see a road in your dream, indicates your sense of direction and pursuit of your goals. To see a winding and bumpy road in your dream, signifies that will find many obstacles and setbacks toward your goals. You may be met with unexpected difficulties. If the road is dark, then it reflects the darker or more frightening choices which you have made or are making.

To dream that a threatening creature is on a road, parallels a hostile situation/person you are encountering in your waking life. It is an obstacle that you need to overcome, no matter how intimidating the situation or person may appear.

    Dust

To see dust in your dream, suggest that aspects of yourself have been ignored or neglected.

    Bomb

To see a bomb in your dream, signifies that you may be going through a potentially explosive and trying situation in your waking life. The bomb could represent repressed desires and unexpressed emotions that are likely to explode or burst if not dealt with soon. It could be something within yourself, such as the desire to explode with anger over an issue that's affecting you.

    Three

Three signifies life, vitality, inner strength, completion, imagination, creativity, energy, and self-exploration. Three stands for trilogy as in the past, present, and future or father, mother, and child, etc.

    Swimming

To dream that you are swimming, suggests that you are exploring aspects of your unconscious mind and emotions. The dream may be a sign that you are seeking some sort of emotional support. It is a common dream image for people going through therapy.

To dream that you are swimming underwater, suggests that you are completely submerged in your own feelings. You are forcing yourself to deal with your emotional difficulties.

    Water

To see water in your dream, symbolizes your unconscious and your emotional state of mind. Water is the living essence of the psyche and the flow of life energy. It is also symbolic of spirituality, knowledge, healing and refreshment. If the water is calm, clear, then it signifies that you are in tune with your spirituality. It denotes serenity, peace of mind, and rejuvenation. If you are splashed by water, then it represents your need to be revitalized and more expressive. To dream that water is boiling, suggests that you are expressing some emotional turmoil. It also may mean that feelings from your unconscious are surfacing and ready to be acknowledged.

To see muddy or dirty water in your dream, indicates that you are wallowing in your negative emotions. You may need to devote some time to clarify your mind and find internal peace. Alternatively, it suggests that your thinking/judgment is unclear and clouded. If you are immersed in muddy water, then it indicates that you are in over your head in a situation and are overwhelmed by your emotions.

To hear running water in your dream, denotes meditation, reflection and pondering of your thoughts and emotions.

To dream that you are walking on water, suggests that you have supreme and ultimate control over your emotions. It may also suggest that you need to "stay on top" of your emotions and not let them explode out of hand. Alternatively, it is symbolic of faith in yourself.

    Good luck!

  3. well it's obvious isn't it?

Next time you're walking down a dusty road, a bomb will fall from the sky, explode with water and you'll swim around in the water and then a giant elephant will come and teach you how to krump.

  4. We have two types of memory, short-term and long-term. As we go through the day, our brains store what we experience in short-term memory; then, over the next few days, that information is transferred to long-term memory in a process which (as far as I'm aware) is not yet fully understood.

Now, as the brain transfers memories, how does it decide where to store them in long-term memory? We know that memories are highly associative - apparently the brain likes to store information with other information it considers to be related, although it often makes what seem to be very odd choices in that regard. So when the brain is looking for a place to store information, wouldn't it have to "look" at the previously stored stuff to see if it's appropriate?

It seems to me that this process could explain dreams. You hear about Alex Lifeson; then later when your brain is looking for a place to store that new memory, it "opens" up other memories in long-term storage in search of a good place to put it. Does the process of opening up old memories involve actually replaying them somehow? Seems likely. And that might seem to your sleeping mind to be actually experiencing them again, with the newer information haphazardly mixed in (since that might have to be replayed also).

Maybe you listened to a lot of Rush in high school, so that seemed like a relevent place to put the new information. Or maybe it's where you first heard or read the word "limelight". In fact, maybe a lot of things happened to you in high school for the first time or they had a big impact on your life, so that your brain often goes looking in those memories. Presumably there is a large element of trial-and-error involved, so several old memories may be opened up. And, as the storage process is happening subconsciously, your brain doesn't necessarily make the same associations you would make consciously. It goes looking for patterns, and like a computer it might miss big picture relationships in favor of silly connections. Which is exactly what dreams are noted for.

Having said that, the studies I've read about seem to show no relation between REM sleep and memory transfer. So apparently I just made that theory up whole-cloth. But then, that's what Freud did too.

  5. the bomb could be something important... like a very top secret secret. you could be worried incase of it getting out. the bomb being the secret. i dont know about the swimming..?!

  6. Dream interpretation has always been based on what you're feeling in the dream, and not exactly what is happening.

I keep having dreams where I'm handicapped in some way, like dizzy, weak, blind, etc.  I believe it has to do with my fear of being embarrassed, because there are usually people just standing there looking at me being helpless.

The presence of a bomb might suggest that your anxious, or waiting for something.  The dusty road might imply emptiness or the lack of what you're waiting for.  Swimming might imply that you're working hard to make that something happen.  After all, swimming can be a physically challenging sport.

Try not to think too much about it.  Sigmund Freud himself said, "Sometimes a Cigar is just a Cigar."

    Good luck!
