  1. Go to doctor  and get xrays.... could be a hairline fracture that only hurts when you put weight on it.

Once a fracture or blood clot is ruled out by your doctor then go to a physio or massage therapist for treatment. If the injury is recurring there is a reason and these professionals can determine why and also help it to get better.

Immediately, to get relief you can Ice, rest and elevate the leg.

    Get well soon.

  2. If it only hurts when you move, try not moving.

  3. See a doc.  They know best.

  4. I would definitely see a physiotherapist. They are trained to do all sorts of tests that can help isolate the muscle, joint, bone, ligament, nerve, etc. that might be causing the problem.

Then, they will be able to suggest effective treatment for you, whether it's exercise, stretches, resting, etc.

For now, rest it as much as possible.  If it's a recent injury, if it appears swollen or red, ice it.  If not, you can try heat.  You don't want to put heat on it if it's aggravated or inflamed, though.

    Good luck!
