I have a red/green color deficiency, can I still be a police officer for the chicago PD or any PD in fact?

I can distinguish red and green by themselves but not really when they are bunched together, like the ishihara color vision test. I really don't have any major problems seeing and distinguishing between colors now.

  1. I took one those test today for a job today. I studying for a police officer too. I think they give you one of those test as part of a physical. How bad is it?

  2. Can you see the red or green in traffic signs or can you only see other colors in the lights? It probably just depends on the extent of it.
