  1. yes repti carpet is fine good choice as it is easier to clean, looks nice and its cheaper

aspen can be dangerous to snakes because if they were to swallow a piece after it getting caught on the food item, it will not get digested and will block the digestive system

The only bad thing about carpet is that it doesn't control the humidity that boas need as they come from tropical humid climate.

But you could just mist the tank daily and make sure there is a suitable sized water bowl in the enclosure :)

  2. use the carpet is is so much easer to clean and dose not stink and buy two so you wash one (in washer and dryer) and the other is in the tank. it is so easy. but dont worry if they go under it my snake does it all the time

  3. Nope, the carpet is fine. Just be sure to heat treat the edges so it does not unravel. You may want to get enough to make two, so you can have one out cleaning while the other is in the cage.

Edit: no...I just have a persistent Chinese Water Dragon who gets the biggest joy in life from destroying his carpets.

  4. Reptile carpet is fine and you don't need to do anything to the edges. I think anon thinks you were thinking about indoor/outdoor carpet. I/O carpet can be dangerous and snare and cut animals.
