I have a research paper to doooo?

so i have these research paper to do for my high school american government class....and we just got assigned a term paper to do and i kind of neeed ideas on a topic

the topic has to have some connection with the U.S. government or political events sicne 9/11.

I was thinking if Guantanamo Bay fits that category but i'm not sure...

&& of course i need a topic that won't be so boring and will be easy to find plentiful facts on...afterall the teacher is asking for a 6-10page paper.
