Question:

I have a rifle with a 7 shot clip that jams when loaded with 7 rounds but is fine with 6 is it a bad clip?

problem or something else? I think that it is a Remington model 597

  1. Remingtons are nice guns.

    I have two.

    So probably a bad clip.


  2. lots of guns do that ,when you put the last bullet in the spring is so compressed it puts to much pressure on the receiver and causes a jam.try over compress the spring ,and work the spring maybe the spring will lose some of its strength and stop jamming. Its not a bad idea to get another clip ,i like to carry a extra just in case.

  3. Bad magazine spring, not always bad magazine.
