I have a ring on my finger and cannot remove it can anyone help?

I cannot remove my ring from my finger since I put it on 3 days ago and the finger is painful and swollen is there any way of removing it without resorting to sawing through the ring ?

put butter or magerine on the ring and around the ring. (this wont hurt your ring).

then out it under hot water, twist it.

and it should be off.

Put some ice in a bowl of cold water. Put your hand in it for not more than a few minutes, but until your hand is very cold. Take your hand out and immediately put oil on your finger. Hold your hand up rather than down while you wriggle the ring off to minimize the blood in the finger.

The cold is to reduce swelling and blood engorgement. The oil is obviously for slipperiness. You could use soap or moisturizer too.

you might try using some kind of cooking oil,baby oil, or something then slowly working it by twisting and pulling it downward.......good luck
