I have a rock that was gave to me. It looks like it used to be live rock. Can I put it with my live rock?

Please look at the picture before you answer. Professional advice please!

I have 40lbs of live rock in my 55 gal. tank now w/ no fish. Could I rinse it out real good and soak it in salt water for a few days. Than put it in with my other live rock. Heres a picture of it.

You could put it in your saltwater tank if you want to, but it's not live rock. It looks like a plastic model of a piece of base rock. Is it heavy or does it feel/sound hollow?

no, dont do it. this happened to a buddy of mine once, you just dont want to know man, it was horrible....

Yes you can put it in your tank with your live rock and eventually it will become live
