I recently suffered a mild concussion. This is not the first one I have had.

  1. I would judge on what my doctor, coach and maybe what teammates say, if "recently" is like 2 months then I would play

but if it was like "3 days or something" I wouldn't, anyway, I would go with mainly what my doc says.

  2. On my rugby team we have to do no contact for 2 weeks after a concussion.

  3. Oh you will be fine, go on and run in there HEAD FIRST now.

  4. i waited 2 weeks after getting knocked out when i played. don't rush it, play smart if you do play. i was second row though.

  5. after any concussion while playing rugby you should wait 2 weeks, then put your boots on and get playing.

  6. dont use ur head, and play, i play football and u gotta toughen up man, just do it

  7. With just a mild concussion and if you feel alright you should be able to play.  It really up to you and how well you feel.  If you are questioning it and still feel pain, you should probably hold off.

  8. Nope its a bad idea to risk another concussion so soon, basically a consussion is when your brain gets "rattled" inside your head, it the needs to settle, concussions are annoying but if push can be risking greater damage

  9. Totally depends on what "recently" is and what your Doctor says.  I'd say not to risk it though if you have any doubt at all.  Concussions are far more serious than I thought they were when I was growing up.  They are cumulative so if you get one, you never FULLY recover and it becomes more likely you will get another one.

One of my players that I coach had to retire from Rugby at the grand old age of 22 due to concussions.  Felt bad for her but your life is more important than the game.

Take a look at the career of Ice Hockey player Eric Lindros for an example of how bad concussions can be to a players career.  He got a couple at a young age and then got more and more, some from seemingly minor contact.

Dont risk if I say, but it is your call ultimately.
