  1. As an Audiologist, I agree with some of the above answers.  Verify with your doctor or an audiologist that it is indeed a perforated eardrum.  Until then, make sure that you keep fluids (water) out of your ear canal.  The fluid may get into your middle ear cavity via the perf and cause it to become infected.  Perforations typically cause a conductive hearing loss on the affected side.  So you may want to get a base line hearing screening/evaluation and middle ear testing (tymponometry) to confirm your hearing  and middle ear status.

Besides waiting for the perf to heal, I dont know of any proven way to speed up this process.  Continue to follow up with your physican until you are medically cleared.  I saw a patient a few months ago that had a pref that didnt heal and had to get it surgically repaired.

    Best of luck to you!!

  2. My first question would be if you've verified with a doctor that it is in fact ruptured.

Assuming it is in fact ruptured, nothing will be a "quick fix"... your body needs to heal it, and that process does take time. Your best bet would be some supplements that encourage skin health (since it's like a flap of skin as far as your body is concerned). It would also be good to make sure you have the basics (like a multivitamin) to make sure your body gets the minimums it needs so it can focus on tissue growth.

Some of the most popular skin supplements are Biotin, Silica (commonly from Horsetail), Squalene, Hyaluronic Acid, MSM, L-Cysteine, Collagen, and most antioxidants.

    Good luck!

  3. “ The first thing you'll be happy to hear is that a ruptured eardrum is not as serious as it sounds! A ruptured or perforated eardrum usually heals by itself within(((2)))months. The goal of treatment is to relieve pain and prevent infection.
