I have a saltwater pool with a de filter, and have some type of white powdery stuff sitting on the bottom???

we have used the automatic cleaner but it still seems to keep getting back through the filter.We backwashed, rinsed and started again, but it wont go away.

It's either salt or calcium, if you have a vacuum, vacuum the bottom let it turn over a few minutes and then backwash, though as its a saltwater pool its likely to get some sediment on the bottom.
