I plan to get a morgtage next year and I was unfortunate to have a ccj against me. It is now satisfied and I just want to know if my record will improve and what it means since it will reflect on my record for 6 years.

  1. Your record will improve and your mortgage decision will not be affected by the judgment as much as it would have been if you had not satisfied it.

  2. Well, it is better than having an unsatisfied judgment against you, but that is not saying much.

It sounds like you just paid it off. You will probably have a very hard time getting approved for a mortgage anytime soon.

You can always dispute it with the credit bureaus and see if it falls off your report entirely, but don't count on that happening.

Also, if you have a stable job and can find the the right person, you might try to find someone to sell you a house on contract if you are persistent. That would get you out of the traditional mortgage territory.
