I have a scosche 500k micro farad how do i charge it / hook it up?

It should come with a charge circuit. Basically just a resistor. And hopefully a set of instructions. If you don;t have the charge circuit, contact scosche and get one.

Don't just hook the capacitor to the battery. The cap could leak. That's really a mess you don't want to have to clean up.

u can use a stantard light bulb ok on the cap connect the postive to the battery postive and the ground conect to chaisis of fram tell the cap reads like 13volts for at lease 30sec
