Question:

I have a second interview with a food service warehouse. Does that guarantee a job offer if I do not blow it?

The interview is with a warehouse industry for a order selector. This company is expanding down to another town in which I am near also but, regardless. I talked to someone from the Human Resources section and they gave me the brief run down and did a Q&A with me. After that, I did a psychological test. I was kind of nervous about it and told me to wait 5 days for some kind of contact by mail or phone. Now, they scheduled a second interview with me. Would that guarantee a job offer if I do not mess up at all?

  1. Not necessarily.  A second interview is a way to narrow down candidates.  The fact you got the second interview is a good sign.

Nothing is guaranteed until the company (usually through their HR department) makes you a job offer.  Try to get it in writing if you can (better for everyone).

  2. it ain't over until you've signed your employment contract. don't s***w up.

  3. No gaurantee.

IN fact, sounds like just preliminary stuff talking to HR and passing preliminary tests. The real interview will be with the hiring manager, and that person will likely be interviewing more than one candidate.
