I have read a lot that benzodiazepine overdose is rarely fatal. I don't understand why that is. If a person ingests 300mg of temazepam, 20 mg of clonazepam, 750mg of tegretol and Mixes that with alcohol, I can not imagine that would not be fatal?? am I wrong?

  1. It actually depends more on the person and how much their body can tolerate.  I'm a recovering pill addict and I have overdosed MANY times, mostly on soma's.  Which is a muscle relaxer, I've taken so many of them before that the doctor didn't understand how my heart kept going.  So the mixture you mentioned sounds like it should be fatal, but it all depends on the person who consumed that and how much their body can handel.

  2. My father died to an overdose of a different drug because he believed he had built up a tolerance to that drug. Please if there is someone in your life with a similar situation please get them help before it's too late.
