I have a sharp aquos lc42d64u hdtv,and a sony bravia Dav-Hdx265 home theater system,How do i connect them?

My cable service is cablevision, i got a atlantic 8300 hd dvr box. How do i go ahead and hook up all my appliances together in order to experience the sound of the tv , while im watchin regular tv program (not talking about when im watching a dvd in the player )through the speakers in my dvd surround system. I have 2 HDMI cable and a (R) & (L) Audio cable ,Asist me in using these 3 cables

If your L/R audio cable is long enough, you can use it as a jump rope. :o)
