I have a silver pot and I would like to know how to clean it and make it shiney?

Clean it with Brasso. Does a great job.

Personally, I've used excellent, clear, liquid silver clearners available from my jewelers for about $4.00.   I dip in items (rings, chains, etc.) and they're clean in an instant. For larger items I've brushed or wiped on the jeweler's cleaner and it works just as well.  Depending on the purity of the silver, the cleaner will work quickly or not at all, which is why I listed the sites above.
