does the US like to stick their nose into other people's business, particularly the politicians? Yes, helping others is nice, but you shouldn't loan someone 5 dollars if you have nothing yourself, it causes trouble. Now why would the United States give Georgia a $1Billion economic package, when we ourselves are trying to boost our own pathetic economy? It's just a question and I'm hoping to see an honest answer from someone and I don't want to hear because we're the best nation there is and we always help out the weaker ones...that's just a plain 'tunnel vision' type of answer.

  1. Rest assured, we are not giving money away to be "nice". You can be sure, there are strings attached, especially since Georgia is located where a major oil pipeline runs from the Caspian Sea region. Any time we give foreign aid, it is because we expect something in return, usually control of the receiving country. Georgia is also very close to Iran, and we will probably use our purchased influence to justify building a military base there, we already have military personnel there "helping" the Georgian military.
