I have a sky box but do not subscribe to sky, but i can?

get some of the free view channels . I would like to get a box so that I can record tv programmes and record to dvd can someone tell the to buy please. Thomson top up tv says you do not have to subscribe but I don't understand . What do you advise please.

Sorry to be a bit dumb but my hubby is not here and I want to get it sorted before he comes home next week. And so any advice would be appreciated as to the best DVD/TV recorder to buy... thank you!

  1. A dual tuner would be best so that you can watch one channel while recording another.

    For what it is worth I have had the Inverto for three years and it has been trouble free

    EDIT

    just re-read your question and saw that you want to use your Sky box, forget the above which only applies to Freeview. Any DVD recorder should suit you, just a matter of what you want to spend.


  2. Yes, as advised above; any DVD recorder will do. You connect by scart lead(see the websites below), then use AV select, to find it.
