I have a sky hub by netgear and it says on bak sky76376?

we have had so many viruses we had to keep changing the wep key and im getting a ps3 soon so i want to sort it out. Im just wondering if anyone could give me any advice and tell me how to change it. When we try to connect it to the laptop the laptop can find the computer but it cant connect because of the wep key.

Every router generates a number of WEP keys available in it's wireless configuration pages, also indicating which of the possible keys it can use.

just login to your Netgear router. How to do that?

well just type the Default gateway on your Net browser and put username : admin

password can be admin, password, or leave it blank.

youcan find the default gateway for your router by clicking on the

start menu> run and type CMD on the box and hit ok.

once on the small black screen call DOS command prompt....type this

ipconfig /all

just browse in and find the default gateway that is generally

192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1  etc.  Put this on your browser an hit enter.

you would see WEP keys numbered like 1, 2 ,3 ...note all of this down and one of them would be your WEP key. Most of the times its #1.

do this from the computer which is hardwired to the router..or physically connected.

yeah do what mad mike said but CHANGE YOUR ENCRYPTION PROTOCOL TO WPA AND CHANGE THE PASSWORD!!!!!

dont use a dictionary word or a name. something with characters and numbers in.

WEP keys are easy to find. If you keep changing the wep key then they are gonna keep finding it.

type in your browser... 192.168.0.1

username:admin

password:sky

someone maybe leaching off of your wifi.
