I realized that I had my club face too open and so when I closed that it really helped my slice with my 3 wood and now it is pretty straight however my driver is still a bad slice. Any help would be great.

  1. A slice is usually either a result of having your club face open at the point of impact or coming over the top on your golf swing. Try a stronger grip which will fix the club face part and just focus on getting your swing from the inside to the outside and hopefully you fix your slice. GOOD LUCK!!

  2. check driver loft. if under 11 degrees . closet. find 13 to 14 degree 3 wood stay with it. if you cannot hit ten of 14 fairways with your driver . do not use it. the three wood , shorter shaft cosistent contact. in the fairway not the rough. maybe 8 yards more with driver . also 12 yards deeper into the rough . stay 3 wood until you can break 80 with three wood . then hit driver . it works, it is proven , it is correct. also lower scores. old guys like me . tossed driver , added 5th wedge . works very well .

  3. If you don't know what is causing the slice....you can't fix it.....the only way to fix swing flaws is lessons and practice.....Those are the only time proven ways to fix any swing flaw.

  4. if you fixed your 3 wood your driver should be the same unless you aren't swinging the same which must be the case. I would just go back to your basics make sure your stance is nice and square, ball right at the heel of your left foot if your right handed. make sure your grip is correct, both v's from your hands pointing to your right shoulder. if your standing normal with hands down, your left hand should go on club as it is hanging and then move your right hand in. make sure your club is square at impact and you rotate your wrists after impact. from a y or your arms to and x after impact. also make sure your swing is straight back and forward. many people develop slices from having a outside on the way up to inside coming would forcing you to open the clubface and slice the ball.

  5. alright in order to fix a problem you must first learn what you are doing wrong. In order to do this i recorded my swing with a video camera but if you don't have a good enough camera you cannot see the club because of the FPS. Check to see if your hands are coming through the zone before the club head. A good drill to fix the slice is to make sure you are bringing the club head back straight so what i do every so often is put a ball down that i want to hit and then put a second ball about 2 feet straight behind it and swing and the back of your club should hit the second ball out of the way. Another quick solution would be turn your left hand in slightly(if your right handed) so you can see about 3 of your knuckles. You must make sure you are bringing the club down on the same path that it is going back on. I hope this will help you.
