  1. the pontoon's are generally watertight and sealed, you just need to redistribute to weight to even things out.  Make sure you are not overloading the capacity of the boat

  2. Depends on what kind of pontoon logs you have. If they are U shaped they generally have foam flotation and a top vent. If they are round you should have chambered sections to avoid complete filling of log in case of leaks. If round on top of logs you should have a plug at least on largest chambers. You can install a valve/ plug in it's place to add air. CAUTION no more than 5lb of air in each chamber. Are you looking for leaks? If so mix some soapy water in spray bottle and spray around all welds and seams. If you are wanting more buoyancy adding air wouldn't help that much. Remember over 5 lbs air you risk damaging the log. I recommend you go to go to http://www.pdbmagazine.com/fusetalk/foru... and join. It is a great place to get answers to your questions.

    Good luck

  3. The pontoons are not pressure vessels. If they are not leaking, adding air will actually increase the weight. If your boat is leaning due to unbalanced weight distribution, then it was poorly designed or something is wrong. A lot of planning goes into the layout of any boat to assure that weight is evenly distributed.
