I purchased the goldfish two days ago at wal-mart. I put it in a 10 gallon quarantine tank. After 24 hours, I noticed the telltale signs of ich. I treated the tank with malachite green last night. This morning, one gill won't open and looks white and crusty. The white crust seems to be spreading. Is this a fungus, a parasite, just more ich, or something else?

  1. I think it is just ich. At Walmart they have a solution you can put in your tank to make it go away. It will take a few days, but it should clear up.

  2. sometime malachite green won't effect try add rocksalt along with it observe for 2 to 3 days for imporvement if not change water use methylene blue with rock salt and good aeration and do daily water change of 10 percent
