  1. WHAT KIND OF TURTLE IS IT???????? Land turtle? Water turtle?

  2. No matter what species you have, this is not good. Tortoises should not be allowed to flip themselves. Their high, domed shells make it very difficult to right themselves. Aquatic turtles need more than a little water dish. They need water to swim in.

You MUST figure out what kind of turtle you have and then get a care sheet or book on their care. What you are doing may be the equivalent of somebody keeping you in a cell filled with waist-deep water. It won't kill you quickly but it will kill you eventually.

  3. what kind of turtle is he? if he's a semi aquatic turtle like a red eared slider or painted turtle, he's gonna need a lot more water than a little water dish! also heat lamps are essential. about him floating on his back, well, I've never seen that before.

  4. Is that the only water in his tank? Turtles need a lot of space to swim around.

  5. what kind of turtle do you have?  It's always helpful to have some basic information.
