Question:

I have a small vibration coming from my subs when i change tracks, pause my cd, or turn the volume down.?

its a small vibration, but when i turn my gain up it gets louder and i get a humming sound. my amp gets worm but not so hot that i cant touch it. i was wondering if it could be feedback from my RCA Cables or somthing.

  1. is your headunite a factory radio? if so this is cause by frequnecys/.


  2. It could several factors causing this. Someone made a great point about the ground, but if the ground was bad a good amp would blow the fuse or go into protect mode. You can test the ground with a volt meter to make sure. Also make sure your ground on the head unit is good.

    The vibration turing to humming when gain is turned up, this sure sounds like alternator feedback. A simple noise filter will fix this issue. You may want a mechanic to test the ground on the alternator to make sure it isn't causing this or other problems.

  3. could be a bad ground also check all your wires.

  4. It might actually be feedback so just check all your wiring. Then check the deck so if its that.
